Opening December 31st! [28 Dec 2008|01:54am]

Def: (n) an identifying feature which might trigger a function or action.
[ . A . F i n a l . F a n t a s y . VII . R P G . ]

Twice, our world was stricken by the end. The plains and once wet fields are nothing but ashes, torn asunder by the was, the then, the past - two pasts - that laid their marks.

Our planet was fated to die twice over, and though there were many that shed their blood for this good earth when their time came for them, the Gaian race is far from extinction. We wonder how it is that our place in this known universe avoided destruction, of Meteor and Omega, but as all beings who are face to face with the ultimate question of reality, we come to understand that we know nothing. We've set our eyes on re-birth; these were not uncharted waters. We looked to the heavens for Alexander, for Eden, for law and religion, and we saw the pale drifts of Lifestream scattered across the stars. Our world as we know it is a war of the world's making. A war waged upon us, and itself, the galaxies and beyond willing a conquest by extermination of all that is good to us, and all that remains. Others have fought for us. We looked on to our saviors for help. Where once stood Shinra, our lord and protector, now stands bricks in broken asphalt. Where once stood Midgar, the empire, now stands Midgar, the ruins. Shinra, Avalanche, World Regenesis, Deepground. There's only so far we can go with self-conflict and single-manned goals.

The colonization of this planet alone won't help our cause. The clusters of our people still exist, the grounds of the past are crumbled, and one by one, we attempt to pick up the pieces, to an avail we hope still lives.

This isn't the end. At least, not yet. But can we learn, or will we ever learn?

Foreshock: A FFVII RPG [13 Oct 2008|02:27pm]

✘// f o r e s h o c k

Welcome to Foreshock. The year is 1990 in the urban metropolis of Midgar. ShinRa Electric Power Company is waging war against Wutai and winning, but not without considerable losses. Many of their operatives were killed, captured, or simply went missing in action. ShinRa's enemies are small but rapidly growing, as the company's reactors and policies come under fire from a growing threat in the guise of radical anti-ShinRa environmentalist groups. ShinRa needs you to help fight the encroaching enmity, and uphold its values and goals in providing the Shining City on a Hill for the population of Midgar.

Come join us in Foreshock, a liveJournal roleplay based on the world of Final Fantasy VII. The story begins about seven years prior to the beginning of the original game and is based around (but by no means limited to) the events of Crisis Core. Expect extensive timeline analysis to provide in-depth plots and intriguing role-play experiences.

If you're interested in playing an old-stlye canon game, read through the info below and drop us an app! We can't wait to play with you!

Foreshock is a fairly new Final Fantasy VII pre-game RPG. We've recently started play and we're still open for applications, including canon and original roles! Come check us out.

Before Crisis Radio Play in need of auditions [26 Aug 2007|02:40pm]

[ mood | creative ]

Hey, all. My friends and I have been working on putting together a Before Crisis Radio Play.

Right now we're working on casting Episode 1, and we're still accepting auditions.

Currently, for sure, we need voice actors for:
Random Avalanche Members
Shin-Ra Soldiers
And possibly Sears.

So if any of you have microphones and such and would be interested in trying out, that would be worlds of awesome. We're all very amateur at this, so don't worry about experience or anything.

If you're interested, give us a click!

x-posted all over.

Fanvid. Don't give me that look. [30 Jun 2007|08:46am]

[ mood | anxious ]

Alright, I found that song, the one I heard on Cellular that I thought was Moby but wasn't. And after listening to it a few times I found that it reallly sorta fit the Turks, or at least I thought so. And well...

Title: Where you gonna run to?
Music and Artist: "Sinnerman" by Nina Simone.
Footage: Before Crisis Commercial and Last Order
Length: 03:54

Enjoy! I rather believe it's my best Turks vid yet (cause there's likely to be more).

And here we go, the second set of icons from me! Not big at all... as once again, I'm still learning. And I doubt too many of you will be familiar with most of the people who are in these icons! Anyways...

Mostly Fuhito, one Shears, and one Zeng x Rufus! <3

Hello, I bring fanvid. [28 Jan 2007|07:54pm]

[ mood | bored ]

Hey, I'm new. *waves*

Well, it seems this community has been quiet for a long while, and maybe it was never particularly loud to begin with. So I've brought a fanvid to liven it up a bit. Some of the clips repeat, because I was working with limited material. It's basically about the Turks and the enemies they face/will face in the FFVII timeline. Enjoy!

Title: Run, Turk Junk
Music and Artist: "Run Rabbit Junk" by Yoko Kanno.
Footage: Before Crisis Commercial and Last Order
Length: 04:54

I hope you like, it took me forever to make... or just a few hours. Stupid WMM.

An offering! :D

Title: Monday Mornings
Disclaimer: Not mine zomg
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Slight cussing (I think), implied Rafe x Samantha (OH NOES HET) and Reno x Rude (if you squint hard enough)
Notes: I was supposed to write about the Turks chilling out on a Friday night, but I somehow ended up writing this. XD; The Turk names came from Gunshot Romance (sans Tseng, Reno, and Rude, of course). Not so sure about the characterization, but anyway. 8D;

( Thank goodness it's a Saturday morning for me. XD )

I hope this is allowed here, because I really don't know which community to post it in. O_O

ShinRa RP pimpage~ [05 Feb 2005|07:14pm]

A Final Fantasy VII ShinRa Roleplay

Set two years before the original game starts and after the events of Before Crisis, ShinRa has recently completed construction of the plates. With reactors in place, they are quickly approaching the height of their industrial and political empire. Under the command of President Jack ShinRa, it is the duty of the Turks to keep ShinRa at the top...Whatever the cost. Between a war with the Wutanese government and with an ambitious power-hungry son at his back, will President ShinRa be able to retain his control over the city? The plot will eventually steer torward the FF7 story-line, but be creative and active, and it's likely bigger plots involving you will branch out and develop.

Our cast is currently very small, with several crucial roles available. We also accept mod-approved original Turks and ShinRa employees. Please check it out and come join! We're looking forward to playing with you!

[30 Jan 2005|01:46pm]

I've been wondering about something lately. If Before Crisis features seven more Turks, you wonder, what happened to them before the Final Fantasy VII storyline begins.
My opinion on the matter is that  the seven new members of the Turks will, eventually, kick the bucket during the course of the Before Crisis storyline. They couldn't of survived, for if they did, Elena would have never replaced Reno after his unfortunate accident involving Sector Seven's pillar.

Maybe I'm wrong, or maybe SquareEnix forgot about that whole Reno getting replaced for a certain amount of time-issue. I mean, they completely fucked up Vincent and the timeline. So. Eh.

Any opinions?

I got a thong today and it was PINK. :3 [27 Dec 2004|06:40pm]

[ mood | uncomfortable ]

I kid. This is my first post here, so hi. I got very excited when I realised there was a Before Crisis community.

Anyway...has anyone else seen the screenshots from the new chapter released on December 24th? [sorry if I destroy someones friends page but the images aren't that big] Reno is saying something about Rude acting strangely. Rude is meeting with some chick in a bar. Might they be connected? The board room screen makes me nostalgic.

Oh, and Cloud appeared in chapter 5, but I've no idea what he did or said. It'd be nice to be able to read Japanese.
